INSURANCE
Technology sits at the core of Pinion. We partner with MGAs, reinsurers and other market participants to create more responsive relationships, improve transparency and accelerate execution.
Through daily digital data connections, we give our partners timely insight into portfolio performance while reducing the administrative burden of doing business.
MGA Partnerships
Pinion is a responsive carrier partner, from fast responses when assessing new MGA opportunities to meeting the evolving needs of onboarded partners. We connect directly with an MGA's existing system of record and build the infrastructure required to ingest data securely each day.
Through the daily digital data link between MGA and carrier, Pinion provides data-quality and portfolio-performance metrics tailored specifically for each MGA, helping partners understand their business as it develops rather than waiting for retrospective reporting.
Pinion assumes responsibility for producing and managing the monthly bordereau using the data received through our daily digital feed. By taking ownership of bordereau creation and execution, we reduce administrative pressure on our MGA partners and improve the quality, consistency and timeliness of reporting.
MGAs do not need to replace their technology to work with Pinion. We integrate with each partner's existing system of record and create a bespoke data infrastructure around it, enabling a smoother transition and minimising operational disruption.
Seamless, market-leading onboarding and digital data ingestion reduce friction and operational cost for our MGA partners, so more time can be spent on underwriting and distribution.
Faster Onboarding
Our technology-led operating model enables seamless, market-leading onboarding. We realistically target approximately three months from prospect to live deal, compared with a market standard that can extend to six months or longer.
Clear processes, integrated data and our willingness to take responsibility for administrative tasks allow us to move quickly without compromising discipline.
Faster execution should not mean lower confidence. Our structured approach gives MGAs greater certainty that a deal can be implemented while ensuring that data, reporting and operational requirements are addressed from the outset.
Alignment of Interests
Pinion retains a significant share of the risk on the business it supports, creating strong alignment between Pinion, its MGA partners and its reinsurers.
By keeping a significant share of the risk on our own balance sheet, we stand behind the business we support and increase execution certainty for the MGA.
Our relationships are designed to extend beyond the provision of capacity. We work closely with MGAs on data quality, reporting, portfolio performance and operational delivery, creating a more comprehensive and enduring partnership.
Reinsurance Partnerships
Pinion takes a long-term, strategic approach to its reinsurance relationships. We provide access to a diversified portfolio of low-volatility property, casualty and niche specialty business, supported by market-leading data quality and meaningful risk retention.
Our daily data infrastructure provides reinsurers with current insight into portfolio composition and performance. Rather than relying solely on periodic reporting, reinsurers benefit from a more timely and transparent view of the risks they support.
Every reinsurer has a different strategy and risk appetite. Pinion structures relationships around those individual requirements, enabling reinsurers to participate in the areas that best fit their objectives.
Our Approach to Innovation
We do not believe there is only one way to innovate. Competition, collaboration and the free exchange of ideas will make the insurance industry stronger. That is why Pinion intends to share its knowledge and technological advancements with the wider market and to adopt open-source principles wherever possible.
We believe in winning by outpacing the competition, not by preventing others from competing. No single company can transform an industry alone. Meaningful change requires collaboration between new entrants, established businesses and market infrastructure providers.
Pinion is committed to working with competitors, partners and established market participants to help modernise the insurance industry. Real transformation requires a broad-based movement, and we intend to play an active role in building it.
