We are looking for someone with a sharp, inquisitive mind who is naturally detail-oriented, a strong critical thinker, and an effective problem solver. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced insurance professionals, develop your underwriting skills and take on increasing responsibility as you grow. This is a fully remote position that offers a clear pathway to a rewarding career in insurance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Verification: Analyze financial documents, loss histories, and risk data to help determine the profitability and eligibility of accounts.
  • Problem Solving: Investigate missing or conflicting information by researching market data and collaborating with senior team members.
  • System Management: Enter and track risk data accurately across core underwriting systems and internal databases.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist Senior Underwriters with portfolio tracking, compliance audits, and special administrative projects.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Previous insurance exposure or internships in the program management space are a plus, but NOT required. We are fully prepared to train the right candidate.
  • Critical Thinking: A natural curiosity and the ability to look beyond the surface of data to identify patterns or potential red flags.
  • Problem Solving: A proactive approach to finding solutions when faced with incomplete information or complex rules.
  • Detail-Oriented: A strict eye for accuracy, ensuring numbers, terms, and policy details are perfectly recorded.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience (fields like business, finance, risk management, mathematics, or economics are a plus).
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills, with the professionalism and confidence to interact effectively with colleagues, senior management and external partners.
